Framber Valdez o18.5O, 1u @ +110 DK: As mentioned above, Valdez goes deep into starts averaging over 6.1 innings per start on the year. If Valdez hits his average today this should be a nice cash, especially with the + odds. In his last 4 starts, he's gone 5IP (miss), 7.2IP, 7IP, 9IP (No Hitter) which is why we love this play today.
Zach Eflin u6.5Ks, 1u @ -148 Fanduel: Our model predicts Eflin at having 5.5 K's today, so we'll gladly take the added extra K from Fanduel. This line was down to 5.5 on DK so move quickly to get these odds! Eflin has also only covered this over in 1 of his last 5 starts giving us another reason to like this play.
Gerrit Cole, u7.5Ks, 1u @ -150 Fanduel: Cole has been a great pitcher this year but hasn't been striking people out at the rate we're accustomed to seeing from him. Our Model predicts that he should have 6 strikeouts today so like with Eflin, we'll gladly take the extra K from Fanduel. Cole also has only hit the over 7.5Ks once in his past 5 starts giving us another reason to like this play.
Lance Lynn o16.5O, 1u @ -125 DK: Lynn has been a totally different pitcher on the Dodgers (in a good way) but the one thing that has been consistent is that he's a workhorse. Lynn has averaged 5.2 innings this season and if he hits his average that would cash this play. Additionally, since joining the Dodgers he's gone 6+ innings in 3 of his 4 starts.
Dylan Cease u7.5Ks, 1u @ +115 DK: When I first saw this line I thought it was a mistake as Cease, who does have elite strikeout stuff, has struggled with control this season and getting deep in games. Our Model predicts Cease to have 6 strikeouts so again we love the value of this play with the + odds. Cease has only hit o7.5Ks in 1 of his last 5 starts as well.
Brandon Woodruff u6.5Ks, 1u @ -128 Fanduel: Our model predicts Woodruff to have about 5Ks today against the disappointing Padres. Woodruff has only made 5 starts this year and has yet to crack 100 pitches, so if the Padres can work some walks and up his pitch count they can chase him early as well.
Brandon Pfaadt u6.Ks, 1u @ -118 Fanduel: Another pick from our strikeout model, which predicts Pfaadt to have 5Ks vs. the Reds today. Pfaadt has only hit the over for this line twice in his last 5 starts and we're looking for the Reds to continue this trend by getting on base and putting extra pressure on Pfaadt.
Logan Webb o4.5Ks, 1u @ -165 DK: Logan's strikeout over is back on the slate! Our model predicts Logan to have just under 6 strikeouts today against the Braves so we love that we're getting this line at 4.5. Logan has also had at least 5 strikeouts in his last 4 starts, including his last start which was against the Braves.
Orioles/Astros ML, 1u @ +133 DK: We had to throw in one of our bankroll-building parlays. We love the Orioles taking on the Rockies today, who have Kyle Freeland and his terrible ERA on the mound. Meanwhile, the Astros have their ace on the mound vs the Tigers and both these teams should win their games as they're world series contenders and have much better Rosters and Starting Pitchers than their opponents.
